Vallisneria Americana Gigantea or Jungle Val is a aquatic plant from Asia. Vallisneria Americana Gigantea is suitable for large aquariums best placed in the background as it grows tall and the leaves grow so long that they float on the surface. Unwanted dying leaves or excess leaves have to be cut out just above the root line to keep the plant in control and this can help other plants nearby to get proper light. The leaves of Vallisneria Americana Gigantea are strong and cannot be easily destroyed by the fish. Vallisneria Americana Gigantea can grow in any substrate with proper lighting. If the substrate is nutritious they can propagate through runners and in such condition if plant is not pruned properly can completely take over the aquarium creating a long jungle like bush.
